CASCO ANTIGUO - EL CARMEN
Historic urban space originally surrounded by the old stone walls, which no longer exist, and once protected and closed the city. One of the largest and most solid fortresses in Europe. There you can find the largest concentration of historic monuments and buildings that witnessed the era of splendor of this city. The old town invites you to wander around its narrow streets. "El Carmen", the most popular neighbourhood, is located here, loaded with the history of Valencia. Walking around its narrow streets and irregular blocks that give way to its noble buildings, palaces and Roman and Arab ruins, is a fascinating activity that takes you back to other times and people.  With an acceptable degree of conservation today, this neighbourhood represents one of the leisure areas of the city that houses bars, charming restaurants, terraces and pubs. Close to it, you can find the Round square (Plaza Redonda), whose small shops make it one of the most curious and typical places. Its circular construction is singular and at present it is a colorful and peculiar street market.
