SERRANO TOWERS
These
are one of the two entrance gates to medieval
Valencia. They were a part of the old walls
built in the 14th century and they made up the
base of the defensive system of the city. The
Serrano Towers are considered today as the most
impressive gothic wall in
Europe. |

QUART TOWERS
This
building was also a part of the Valencia walls
and was built in the 15th century, projected as
defensive towers to gain access to the city. The
Quart Towers are a late-gothic military
construction which still shows traces of
battles. They were also used as a women's
prison. At present, they house the
Graphic-museum Locksmith Collection. |

THE NORTH RAILWAY STATION
This singular modernist
building is located in the exact center of the
city. The North Railway Station of Valencia was
built between 1906 and 1917. Its beautiful
façade presents botanic motifs, oranges and
orange blossoms. It is a symbol of its defined
style. The hall is outstanding. It is a
brilliant combination of woods, glass and marble
that leads to the platform area, whose forged
iron cover presents a magnificent ensemble,
faithful witness of other
times. |

CHURCH OF THE SAINT JOHN'S
One of the oldest baroque
churches in the city, it was declared
Historic-Artistic Monument. It was built in the
14th century. It has only one nave and several
side chapels. Inside, you can admire paintings
from Palomino. Its wonderful façade, clear
example of baroque art, is also remarkable. |
